Oldfield Road

An oversized butcher block island forms the heart of this kitchen allowing for easy entertainment and family living. A whimsical shade of blue applied to the island and crown molding provides a vibrant beach community accent. The reclaimed barn wood floors add warmth while grounding the kitchen in a traditional past in contrast to the more transitional cabinets and layout. The kitchen’s seamless transition to the family and dining rooms creates a sense of comfort, functionality and style. This delightful home won Best Custom House Under 3000 square feet in 2014, a HOBI award. Part of the challenge of the project was overcoming a difficult piece of property which also allowed for a unique and creative use of the exterior with multiple levels and “rooms”.
